Since 2012, INFINE acts as an international project consultant for acclaimed visual artist Stéphanie Balini. From unique pieces to serial editions, Stéphanie Balini casts a contemporary gaze on traditional craftsmanship and establishes herself as one of the most promising designers of her generation. S. Balini graduated from both prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (ENSAP) and Ecole des Beaux Arts de St Etienne.
In 2007, S. Balini was named one of the Colbert Committee’s “Young Lights in Creation”. This award gave her the opportunity to design a collection of crystal glasses (“The Damoiselles”) which were edited by the House of Baccarat. The precious glasses are presented in a Haute couture padded box designed by the artist in collaboration with Domeau & Pérès. In 2009, Stéphanie Balini designed for Christian Liaigre a series of bronze lamps (“Beam and Log”) which are displayed at the latest Costes restaurant, La Société.
Maison & Objets, Hennessy LVMH
In 2010, Stéphanie Balini was awarded as “Talent à la Carte” designer by Maison & Objet, and her creations were shown in the Butlhaup showroom in Paris for the Designer’s Days; the exhibition included the design of a hand-made leather apron edited by par Domeau & Pérès. In 2011, Hennessy LVMH commissioned her to create the carafe of exception cognac Paradis Impérial, with international launch events in Hangzhou (China), à St Pétersbourg (Russia) and Courchevel (France).
Custom design and monumental sculptures
In 2012, Stéphanie Balini focused her development on collaborating with the luxury industry and realizing custom orders for architects and private clients in Europe, USA and Asia. She was invited in Taiwan, one of Asia’s most influential hubs for innovation, in order to create custom furnitures, lamps and bronze artworks for a private residence in the Mandarin Oriental complex in Taipei.
