Polleke * The story: Polleke, an eleven-year old girl, is in love with Mimoen, a Moroccan boy who lives in the opposite flat. However his parents forbid him from seeing her because she comes from a complete different cultural background. While Polleke tries to cope with her sadness at her grandparents¡¦ farm her mother falls in love with the school teacher and Spiek her father, once a happy and optimistic fellow, becomes a homeless junkie. Polleke and Mimoen still see each other in secret and the boy suggests that Spiek should undergo a detox programme. The programme eventually works out and after the teacher marries Polleke¡¦s mother the two friends decide to stay together. Schedule: 12/17 - 11.00
Cowboys & Angels * The story: Civil servant Shane Butler is a handsome but geeky 20-year old who feels that life is passing him by. He is a talented artist who longs to go to art school but has to spend his days behind a desk doing a boring job. Things improve a lot when he moves to a new flat in Limerick City with Vincent Cusak, a gay fashion student. Although everything seems to separate them, Shane and Vincent soon become close friends. When Shane falls in love with a former art student and Vincent¡¦s best friends he decides to give his life another direction. I Cento Passi / One Hundred Steps * The story: Peppino Impassato, a young left-wing activist denounced the crimes of Tano Badalamenti an important Mafia boss by broadcasting from a small local radio station. He also condemned the entire Mafia system. In 1978, Peppino was killed in an explosion. The police closed the case and claimed it was either an accident or a suicide, but his friends never accepted this verdict. Schedule: 12/16 - 16.30
Mein Bruder des Vampir / Getting my brother laid The story: Josh is nearly 30. He is mentally retarded and he likes to play at being a vampire. His sister Nicole is 15 and dealing with her impending womanhood. Mike, the other brother, copes with life better and dates Nadine who runs the dog kennel at the security guard compound. Nicole wants to get laid and peeps through the skylight with Josh to see Mike and Nadine having sex. Josh also becomes interested in sex although he does not have a clue about it. However, to Mike¡¦s dismay, he soon starts to fantasize about Nadine. Schedule: 12/17 - 17.00
Meisje / A Girl * The story: Meisje relates the crucial moments in the life of three women. Each situation, at a different age, depicts the interpretation of love and the intimacy, and somehow, a new relationship with the body. For Laura, who is Muriel¡¦s new landlady, it is the desire to fulfill her life with lovers while hoping for motherhood. One-way ticket to Mombasa / Menolippu Mombasaan * The story: Pete drops unconscious during a gig. The doctor is not optimistic and doubts Pete will still be alive to celebrate his eighteenth birthday. One night at Jusa¡¦s 18th birthday party, the boy decides to confess his love to Kata. He soon leaves with Jusa to Lapland where Kata has a summer job. With Jusa he experiences a wild and fun lifestyle that is not to be found in his safe middle class environment. Will Erik¡¦s permanent revolt threaten his entire future and drag him into an endless spiral of violence ? Evil is a story about violence but also friendship and first love.
